Initial situation

Company Metall Service Menziken AG wondered if a slitting line for slitting aluminum strips commissioned in 1989 should be replaced or can could it be modified to cover the requirements regarding strip width precision, exchange times (especially regarding the toolsets), and work safety. For reasons of costs, short distances and very straight communication ways MSM decided to grant this revamping works to the Swiss company NOBAG.
